Senior DevOps Engineer

Location: Remote within the United States; direct W2 employment.

Salary: $115,000–$165,000 annually.

What you will do

• Design, provision, configure, and operate cloud or enterprise infrastructure using approved architecture patterns.
• Automate provisioning, deployment, configuration, and operational tasks.
• Implement security, identity, networking, backup, monitoring, and availability controls.
• Investigate incidents, capacity issues, vulnerabilities, and performance problems.
• Maintain runbooks, diagrams, standards, and change records while collaborating across engineering and operations.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in a related professional role.
• Professional experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure, DevOps, or systems operations.
• Practical experience with CI/CD, Git, scripting, build and release automation, containers, infrastructure as code, monitoring, and deployment controls.
• Hands-on knowledge of relevant cloud, operating-system, container, or automation technologies.
• Understanding of networking, identity, security, monitoring, and availability fundamentals.
• Ability to troubleshoot infrastructure and production issues methodically.
• Strong documentation and cross-team collaboration skills.
• Eligibility: U.S. Citizens, Green Card holders, EAD holders, and H-1B transfer candidates are encouraged to apply; new H-1B visa petitions cannot be sponsored.
• Direct W2 employment; C2C and 1099 arrangements are not accepted.

Nice to have

• Additional hands-on depth in the core DevOps technology stack.
• Experience mentoring peers, reviewing technical work, and guiding delivery decisions.
• Familiarity with secure development, accessibility, governance, or regulatory requirements.
• Relevant professional certifications or advanced training.
