DevOps Engineer (AWS)

Location: Remote (US)

Base salary: $180,000–$190,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage and scale AWS cloud infrastructure in a Linux-based environment.
• Manage and automate file transfer workflows, accounts, credentials, and related security controls.
• Support environment setup, deployment troubleshooting, and CI/CD pipeline optimization with engineering, product, support, and external partners.
• Develop backend systems and infrastructure automation using TypeScript, Java, Python, Node.js, SQL databases, and AWS CDK.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with AWS CodePipeline and GitHub Actions.
• Implement monitoring and observability, troubleshoot system anomalies, and apply SRE practices for availability, scalability, performance, and incident response.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or a similar role, including deep expertise managing and scaling AWS infrastructure in a Linux-based environment with AWS CDK.
• 3+ years of backend development experience with strong proficiency in TypeScript, Java, Python, Node.js, and SQL-based relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Experience with infrastructure automation and IaC using AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible, or similar technologies.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, including GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or similar tools.
• Proficiency with observability and monitoring tools such as Datadog, New Relic, or equivalent.
• Demonstrated SRE experience supporting high availability, scalability, performance, and incident response in production environments.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across application layers, operating systems, and cloud infrastructure.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills with internal and external engineering, product, and support stakeholders.
• Proactive, security-minded, detail-oriented, adaptable, and capable of solving complex file-transfer and system-performance issues.
