Post Production Apprenticeship

Location: On-site within a commutable distance of the Los Angeles or New York hirify.global offices

Salary: $22.60/hr USD, non-exempt and overtime eligible

hirify.global is a global creative company producing work through collaborative teams in Los Angeles, New York, Sydney, London, and Amsterdam.

What you will do

• Work with an assigned mentor to set learning goals, practice skills, and apply feedback.
• Assist with project setup, footage ingest, media organization, asset tracking, and established naming and folder conventions.
• Support editors with selects, assemblies, reference gathering, music and sound searches, and revisions.
• Prepare timelines and assets for handoffs across editorial, animation, sound, color, and finishing.
• Assist with review exports, alternate versions, file preparation, and checks of picture, sound, titles, timing, and specifications.
• Participate in team discussions and reviews while communicating progress and asking questions.

Requirements

• Some experience making or editing moving-image work through coursework, personal projects, freelance work, or another relevant setting.
• Interest in storytelling, rhythm, pacing, and the relationship between picture and sound.
• Strong attention to organization and detail, with willingness to learn consistent working practices.
• Ability to take direction, respond to feedback, and communicate when help is needed.
• Curiosity about the creative and technical sides of post-production; a specialty is not required.
• Basic familiarity with Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve, including timelines and video export.
• Interest in learning media management, frame rates, resolutions, aspect ratios, codecs, and color fundamentals.

Nice to have

• Experience with After Effects or Photoshop.
• Interest in color, finishing, audio, scripting, or workflow tools; prior experience is not required.
