Assistant Video Editor (Cosmetics)

Location: Hybrid role requiring in-office work 3 days per week in Mar Vista, Los Angeles, CA, USA

Starting base salary: $30.00–$35.00 per hour

hirify.global is a beauty and cosmetics brand with an in-house production team creating visual content for marketing, product launches, and social media.

What you will do

• Ingest, sync, organize, and manage raw footage, audio, proxies, and post-production assets.
• Build selects, assembly edits, rough cuts, and initial sequences for marketing campaigns, product launches, and social channels.
• Reformat and optimize master edits for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube, and digital advertising specifications.
• Prepare clean timelines, project files, organized assets, and exports for color grading, sound design, localization, and final delivery.
• Collaborate with creative directors, lead editors, and social media managers to apply feedback and maintain a consistent brand aesthetic.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of hands-on video editing or post-production experience; internships and freelance work are welcome.
• Deep working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, including project organization, proxy workflows, and shortcut-driven editing.
• Deep understanding of video codecs, file formats, frame rates, aspect ratios, and post-production workflows.
• Excellent organization of project directories, naming conventions, and version control.
• Strong visual sensitivity to color, makeup application, skin tones, and beauty trends.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to work in the office 3 days per week in Mar Vista/Los Angeles, CA.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with other Adobe Creative Cloud applications, especially After Effects.
• Basic understanding of color correction and audio mixing.
• Experience editing content for retail, fashion, lifestyle, or cosmetics brands.
