Technical Training and Documentation Lead (all genders)

Location: Long Beach, California, United States. U.S. citizenship or Green Card is required.

Annual salary: $100,000–$110,000.

hirify.global develops metal-based additive manufacturing systems using selective laser melting and powder bed fusion to produce parts from metal powders for aerospace, energy, healthcare, and automotive customers.

What you will do

• Build the Training Academy structure, processes, technical programs, documentation standards, curricula, and competency frameworks.
• Create SOPs, work instructions, checklists, and troubleshooting guides for machine installation, preventive maintenance, and repairs.
• Design and deliver hands-on, instructor-led, and digital training for employees and applicable customer audiences.
• Develop certification criteria, competency assessments, development plans, and training effectiveness measures.
• Coordinate training resources, equipment, facilities, schedules, and budgets.
• Collaborate with global Engineering, Service, and Manufacturing teams on standardization, lessons learned, and new product introductions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
• 6+ years of experience in technical training, instructional design, technical documentation, or a related function within a technical or manufacturing environment.
• Experience developing SOPs, work instructions, technical training materials, and structured learning programs.
• Ability to work with technical subject matter experts and translate complex information into clear, practical documentation.
• Experience designing and delivering hands-on, instructor-led, or digital training.
• Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to independently develop and manage new initiatives.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to work directly with engineers, technicians, and industrial equipment.
• U.S. citizenship or Green Card is required.

Nice to have

• Experience in industrial machinery, capital equipment, advanced manufacturing, or field service.
• Experience developing competency frameworks, technical certification programs, or skills assessments.
• Familiarity with LMS platforms, document management systems, and digital training tools.
• Experience with training budgets, resource planning, or establishing new training programs.
• Experience collaborating with global technical teams; German language skills are a plus.
• Knowledge of metal additive manufacturing or industrial 3D printing.
