Technical Trainer - Digital (Digital Solutions)

Location: Hybrid in Edgewood, Maryland, United States; customer-site travel may reach 90% at peak times after internal certification.

Salary: $93,215–$139,822 per year, plus a competitive Business Profit Plan and benefits.

What you will do

• Deliver operator and technical training to internal staff, service partners, and customers at customer sites and virtually using presentations, job aids, hands-on activities, breakout rooms, and assessments.
• Explain safety best practices, administrative and engineering controls, and correct use of personal protective equipment.
• Train students with varying knowledge levels on equipment operation, computer reprogramming, and replacement of high-voltage X-ray emission sources.
• Perform Training Needs Analysis to align customer needs with training curricula and monitor audience surveys to improve materials and processes.
• Collaborate with Instructional Designers, Subject Matter Experts, Field Service, Program Management, and other stakeholders to create and revise training materials.
• Participate in program reviews, technical interchange meetings, and design reviews while applying Instructional Systems Design to complex technical concepts.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of training experience, ideally in industry or government environments such as military, first responders, automation, aerospace, healthcare, or government contracting.
• High school diploma minimum. A college degree is acceptable but not required.
• Ability to obtain and retain a U.S. government security clearance.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and/or electronic understanding.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging diverse groups, people, and cultures.
• Strong ownership of safety best practices, assigned tasks, and relationship building; ability to serve as a safety ambassador.
• Working knowledge of Linux, Python, network protocols, TCP/IP models, diagnosis, and security.
• Ability to interpret equipment circuit diagrams, technical manuals, and field service bulletins.
• Ability to handle hand tools, power tools, test equipment, and components; lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted; and perform physical repair techniques including reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
• Comfort with Microsoft 365, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and MS Teams.
• Verbal and written fluency in English.

• Active certification from an accredited training certification institute such as ATD, ACCET, or Langevin.
• Verbal and written fluency in Spanish, French, or Portuguese.
