R&D Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Research and evaluate emerging technologies relevant to hirify.global's product direction.
• Build proof-of-concept prototypes and design experiments to validate ideas and measure impact.
• Create, maintain, and evolve tooling across technology, AI, research, and product teams.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to transition successful prototypes into production.
• Write technical documentation, present findings, and contribute to technical talks and writeups.
• Track academic literature and industry trends in relevant domains.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of software engineering experience, focused on research or experimentation.
• Strong programming skills in Python, C/C++, and web stack technologies.
• Experience with rapid prototyping and frequent iteration.
• Ability to read and apply insights from academic papers.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and systems design.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.
• Self-directed working style with the ability to define and scope projects independently.

Nice to have

• Graduate degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, or a related field.
• Published research or conference presentations.
• Experience with PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow.
• Background in NLP, information retrieval, or knowledge systems.
• Open-source contributions to research-adjacent projects.
• Experience shipping products involving computer vision, 3D scanning, or robotics.
• Experience building fullstack applications or GUI scripts rather than only headless software.
