Principal AI Data Scientist

Location: Issy-les-Moulineaux, France; hybrid work with remote work available several days per week from France

What you will do

• Deliver end-to-end AI initiatives from problem framing and model selection through experimentation, deployment, and continuous improvement.
• Design and implement LLM-based solutions, including conversational assistants, agentic workflows, and advanced AI applications.
• Define and lead scalable AI architecture aligned with emerging technologies and industry best practices.
• Establish best practices for prompt engineering, model evaluation, MLOps, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with Data, Platform, and Product teams to industrialize reliable, scalable, performant, and observable AI solutions.
• Mentor Data and Engineering communities and lead technology evaluations and proof-of-concept projects.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in Data Science and Machine Learning, including several years with deep learning, generative AI, and LLMs.
• Experience designing, deploying, and operating machine learning and generative AI solutions, including chatbots, content-generation platforms, and agentic workflows.
• Hands-on expertise in Python, PyTorch, LangChain, LangGraph, RAG, vector databases, embeddings, and agent orchestration frameworks.
• Experience with cloud-based MLOps and LLMOps, including AWS, MLflow, CI/CD, LLM evaluation, observability, and large-scale monitoring of quality, latency, and cost.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills for explaining GenAI concepts, limitations, and risks to non-technical audiences.

• Experience in hospitality, travel, retail, or large-scale B2C/B2B environments.
