System Engineer (Autonomous Vehicles)

Location: Toulouse, France; two days of remote work per week

What you will do

• Define operational and safety requirements with Programs, Operations, and Safety teams.
• Perform system analysis and propose optimized technical solutions.
• Establish system specifications for new products and functionalities.
• Design and update cross-functional system architectures for offboard infrastructure connecting autonomous trucks, cloud platforms, and fleet management systems.
• Work with Software and Hardware Delivery Managers to define high-level requirements and decompose them into component-specific requirements.
• Present technical information to technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

• More than 5 years of experience.
• Advanced proficiency in system engineering, functional architecture, and solution architecture.
• Experience with engineering tools for specifications and requirements management.
• Experience with cloud architecture and distributed architectures in automotive, robotics, or IoT contexts.
• Experience with cloud architecture, fleet management, and operational tooling for highly available systems.
• Familiarity with telemetry data pipelines, edge-to-cloud communications, SaaS management software, and large-scale 24/7 systems.
• Understanding of cybersecurity constraints.
• Autonomy, teamwork, communication, rigor, method, and proactivity.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with certification and regulatory requirements for robotic, cloud, and fleet management systems.
