Junior Business Analyst/Functional Systems Analyst (Federal Financials)

Location: On-site five days per week at the client site in Arlington, VA (Crystal City); remote work is limited to ad hoc work pending client approval.

Salary: $87,700–$125,400 USD per year

What you will do

• Support client requirements-gathering meetings and identify business needs.
• Translate business requirements into reporting goals with technical resources.
• Test new reports and trace functionality back to business requirements.
• Troubleshoot reports and analyze data, including tracing financial-system inaccuracies and validating production against non-production systems.
• Own release-management tracking after mentorship from the project manager, including development lifecycle tracking, status updates, user acceptance testing, and release coordination.
• Draft requirements, designs, standard operating procedures, training materials, and other client and internal documentation.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in similar roles.
• Experience with federal financials, specifically CGI Momentum, is required.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Secret clearance.
• Strong communication skills with clients and coworkers, attention to detail, and strong grammar and readability in documentation.
• Ability to work autonomously and with clients and coworkers.
• Ability to help oversee task tracking through completion for individual and team work.
• Ability to work on-site five days per week in Arlington, VA.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of SAP BusinessObjects, JIRA, and IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management (ELM).
