Manager, Accounting

Location: Nashville, United States; flexible work-from-home arrangement with limited in-office requirements. Must be authorized to work in the United States.

What you will do

• Partner with department heads to develop annual budgets aligned with company objectives.
• Monitor actual spending against budgets, analyze variances, and provide actionable cost insights.
• Report financial trends, risks, and optimization opportunities to senior management.
• Improve budgeting, forecasting, reporting processes, and tools.
• Coordinate financial data between Accounting and Tax and prepare and review information for tax compliance and reporting.
• Supervise one full-time employee handling cash reporting and oversee the accounting intern program, including hiring, onboarding, and workload management.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of accounting experience.
• B.S. degree in accounting or a related financial field.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, communication, presentation, delegation, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate accountability and ethical conduct.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Standard business hours are 7.5 hours per day, with extended evening and late-night hours frequently required when work volume and events demand it.

Nice to have

• Public accounting experience.
• CPA certification is encouraged.
