Senior EHS Manager

Location: Vacaville, California, United States; fully site-based

Salary: $142,500–$237,500 full-time base annual salary

What you will do

• Set the strategic vision, operational frameworks, metrics, and multi-year roadmaps for site-wide physical safety.
• Lead safety culture and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce unsafe behaviors and physical hazards.
• Communicate performance indicators, critical risks, resource needs, and strategic updates to site leadership, employees, contractors, and service providers.
• Recruit, lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of safety professionals.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Facilities, Warehousing, Quality, and external contractors to embed compliant safety programs into plant operations.
• Lead capital and continuous improvement projects from justification through execution, managing schedules, resources, and budgets.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in physical science, life science, engineering, occupational safety, environmental health and safety, or another relevant scientific or technical field.
• At least 8 years of relevant EHS or EHS program management experience, including at least 3 years as a people leader.
• Deep technical knowledge of federal OSHA, Cal/OSHA, and local safety regulations, with the ability to resolve complex workplace hazards and protect the site’s right to operate.
• Ability to develop and execute multi-year physical safety strategies, key metrics, and risk-reduction roadmaps aligned with site priorities.
• Ability to build and lead a high-performing safety team providing responsive, floor-level technical expertise.
• Ability to drive high-visibility field engagement, proactively address unsafe conditions and behaviors, and translate complex EHS metrics and risks into data-driven business cases and executive updates.
