Senior Safety & Compliance Engineer (Product Safety)

What you will do

• Lead and support certification activities and risk analysis for multiple new product development projects.
• Define project needs and deliverables for product development teams and third-party regulatory partners.
• Evaluate project risks throughout development and establish contingency plans.
• Lead weekly project reviews, present status and risks, and ensure certification activities remain on schedule.
• Advise product development teams on regulatory requirements and support continuous improvement and special projects.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to junior team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or a similar technical discipline.
• 5+ years of compliance or design-related experience with consumer or commercial electromechanical products preferred.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory standards and/or governmental regulations.
• Experience participating in DFMEA sessions preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, shifting priorities, and detailed project tracking in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to present creative, technically sound solutions to complex problems and make informed decisions.
• Ability to analyze operations, promote continuous improvement, work independently with moderate supervision, and collaborate effectively.
• Ability to communicate complex technical information to audiences with varying levels of technical understanding and present confidently across the organization.
