PCB Layout Designer & Engineering Technician

What you will do

• Create complex PCB layouts from electrical schematics using approved ECAD tools, including Siemens Xpedition.
• Develop multilayer, high-density, mixed-signal, analog, digital, RF, and power PCB designs.
• Perform component placement, routing, stack-up implementation, design optimization, and design rule management.
• Apply DFM, DFA, and DFT principles and collaborate with electrical engineers on signal integrity, power integrity, thermal, and EMI/EMC issues.
• Generate fabrication, assembly, and manufacturing documentation packages.
• Support prototypes, laboratory activities, design reviews, design verification, and approved design changes.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Electronics Technology, Engineering Technology, CAD Design, or a related technical field; equivalent experience is considered.
• At least one year of PCB layout experience.
• Experience with PCB CAD tools such as Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, Mentor Graphics/PADS, or similar tools.
• Understanding of PCB fabrication and assembly processes.
• Experience creating manufacturing documentation packages.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
• Experience with AI tools to drive operational efficiency.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology or a related field.
• Experience supporting high-speed digital, mixed-signal, RF, or power electronics designs.
• Knowledge of signal integrity, power integrity, and EMI/EMC design practices.
• Experience collaborating with mechanical engineers in MCAD environments.
• Familiarity with PLM, ECO, and revision control processes.
• Experience working with contract manufacturers and offshore design partners.
