Sr. Manager Financial Planning & Analysis (SaaS & Payments)

Location: 100% remote anywhere within the United States; current and continued US residency is required.

What you will do

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting, budgeting, long-range planning, and the annual operating plan.
• Analyze SaaS and payments performance, including ARR, churn, retention, margins, processing volume, take rates, interchange and assessments, and processor costs.
• Build, audit, and maintain financial models, scenario analyses, variance reporting, and integrated SaaS and payments performance views.
• Prepare executive, board, private equity, and investor reporting packages, dashboards, presentations, and actionable business insights.
• Design scalable BI reporting and use AI tools to identify trends, anomalies, opportunities, and automation improvements.
• Partner with Finance, Payments, Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Product, Operations, Accounting, HR, and data teams on ROI analysis, pricing, compensation, hiring plans, and strategic business cases.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, consulting, or a related analytical role.
• Strong financial modeling and advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, including full three-statement models, cash forecasting, and liquidity analysis.
• Experience building dashboards and reports in BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of SaaS business models and recurring revenue metrics.
• Working knowledge of payments economics, including volume, net take rate, interchange and assessments, processor costs, and profitability effects.
• Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, forecasting platforms, or automation tools in a business environment.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting insights to senior leaders, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in SQL with the ability to independently pull and validate business-system data for financial analysis and reporting.

Nice to have

• Experience in a private equity-backed company, board reporting, or investor requests.
• Familiarity with ERP, CRM, and planning systems such as NetSuite and Salesforce.
• Experience in a high-growth software, payments, or technology company.
• Exposure to Python or advanced analytics tools.
• Deep familiarity with payments KPIs, including Volume, MS, ACH, IC&A, and Take Rate.
