Compliance Summer Internship (Remote) (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Support compliance matters involving sanctions, export controls, anti-bribery and corruption, anti-money laundering, antitrust, whistleblower laws, and third-party due diligence.
• Research developing compliance case law, regulations, legal technologies, and their impact on the company and global affiliates.
• Assist with compliance audits, investigations, and compliance risk assessments.
• Support continuous improvement of standard agreements, legal processes, playbooks, and policies and procedures.
• Assist with due diligence for M&A and other strategic transactions.
• Shadow attorneys and observe collaboration between Compliance, Legal, Sales, Marketing, and other departments.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled as a 2L student at the time of application in an ABA law school; recent graduates are not eligible.
• Juris Doctor field of study, excellent academic credentials, and a minimum GPA of 3.0; top 25% of the law school class is preferred.
• Research experience using Westlaw or PLI and proficiency with legal research software platforms.
• Proficiency in Google Sheets, Docs, and Slides.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact positively with people at all organizational levels.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and resolve competing tasks, work independently, develop creative solutions, and introduce improvements with sound judgment and pragmatism.
• Professional, courteous, and tactful communication with external partners and coworkers; team-oriented and willing to support others.
• An official transcript may be required upon request.
