Legal Counsel - Privacy (AI)

Location: US Remote. Authorization to work in the applicable jurisdiction is required.

What you will do

• Advise business partners on global, state, and federal privacy, cybersecurity, emerging AI, and related technology laws.
• Elevate and evolve established privacy programs supporting enterprise-wide compliance strategies.
• Support privacy and data security due diligence efforts.
• Shape technology product development and commercial operations, including commercial contracting when needed.
• Handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion, sound judgment, and professionalism.
• Provide strategic legal guidance on privacy, emerging technologies, risk, compliance, and AI governance.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing, or a regional equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience in an in-house law department, including at least 1 year focused on privacy law.
• Authorization to work in the applicable jurisdiction.
• Expertise in data governance, technology product counseling, privacy, compliance strategy development, and commercial operations.
• Working knowledge of global privacy frameworks and the ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into clear, actionable business guidance.
• Experience optimizing and scaling existing programs to meet evolving business needs.

• Management experience.
• CIPP certification.
