AWS Cloud Engineer (AWS)

Location: Remote within the United States; applicants must be U.S. citizens, Green Card holders, EAD holders, or H-1B transfer candidates.

Salary: $115,000–$165,000 annually.

What you will do

• Design, provision, configure, and operate AWS cloud and infrastructure components using approved architecture patterns.
• Automate provisioning, deployment, configuration, and operational tasks.
• Implement identity, networking, security, backup, monitoring, and availability controls.
• Investigate incidents, capacity issues, vulnerabilities, and performance problems.
• Maintain runbooks, diagrams, standards, and change records while collaborating with engineering and operations teams.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience is stated for the position; the qualifications section also references a typical 4+ years in a related professional role.
• Professional experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure, DevOps, or systems operations.
• Practical experience with AWS IAM, VPC, EC2, S3, managed services, CloudWatch, automation, and cloud security.
• Hands-on knowledge of relevant cloud, operating-system, container, or automation technologies.
• Understanding of networking, identity, security, monitoring, and availability fundamentals.
• Experience with scripting, automation, source control, or infrastructure as code.
• Ability to troubleshoot infrastructure and production issues methodically.
• Strong documentation and cross-team collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Additional hands-on depth in AWS IAM, VPC, EC2, S3, managed services, CloudWatch, automation, and cloud security.
• Experience with cloud services, automation, and modern delivery practices relevant to the project.
• Familiarity with secure development, accessibility, governance, or regulatory requirements where applicable.
• Relevant professional certifications or advanced training in the technology area.
