Senior Commissioning Agent (Electrical)

Location: Remote, Alberta, Canada; frequent travel throughout Alberta is required for on-site commissioning services.

Salary: CAD 95,000–110,000 per year.

What you will do

• Deliver off-site commissioning development and on-site physical verification services.
• Use cloud-based commissioning technology and software.
• Develop detailed functional performance test procedures and complete commissioning forms.
• Attend and chair commissioning meetings, take minutes, and present progress updates.
• Identify deficiencies and outstanding contractor requirements while answering contractor and client representative questions.

Requirements

• Mechanical Engineering degree or a related technologist or technician diploma/degree.
• 5+ years of equivalent MEP construction, commissioning, and project management experience.
• Familiarity with the commissioning process and mission-critical thermal environments, including hospitals, data centers, and CL2/3 bio-contamination laboratories.
• Proficiency in psychrometrics, heat transfer principles, current building, mechanical, plumbing, fuel gas, fire, and energy codes.
• Experience with CRACs, CRAHs, AHUs, RTUs, VRFs, evaporators, heat pumps, boilers, chillers, adiabatic coolers, pumps, sensors, cooling towers, heat exchangers, and flowmeters.
• Understanding of Building Automation Systems, Methods of Procedure, Sequences of Operation, trend analysis, and Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing.
• Computer literacy with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Project.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills; ability to respond effectively to sensitive situations and meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to work within a team environment.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
