AI and Data Science Product Manager

Location: Hybrid; primary location in West Point, Pennsylvania, USA. The role is available to residents of the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico.

Salary: $87,300–$137,400 base salary annually for the primary location; annual bonus and long-term incentive may also apply.

What you will do

• Partner with business stakeholders and scientists to identify operational pain points and translate ambiguous needs into technical user stories.
• Own and prioritize the product backlog, roadmap, requirements, acceptance criteria, and value-capture plans.
• Lead product discovery, user demonstrations, enablement sessions, feedback collection, and adoption measurement.
• Analyze structured and unstructured data to identify opportunities for data science products.
• Collaborate with data engineering teams to integrate prototypes into reliable, production-ready pipelines using software engineering best practices.
• Define evaluation metrics and validate that products meet business performance requirements.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in data science, AI/ML engineering, Agentic AI, AI product management, or a related discipline.
• High school diploma required.
• Strong analytical or AI/ML fundamentals and interest in expanding into product ownership.
• Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, statistics, mathematics, biomedical informatics, engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to translate complex data science concepts for cross-functional stakeholders and acquire relevant domain knowledge.

Nice to have

• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, Git, and data manipulation libraries such as Pandas.
• Experience creating model evaluation frameworks, including LLM benchmarks and precision/recall measurement for NLP tasks.
• Hands-on or academic experience with NLP tools and frameworks such as Hugging Face, spaCy, LangChain, and LangGraph.
• Exposure to LLM workflows, retrieval-augmented generation, prompt engineering, and fine-tuning.
• Experience drafting technical requirements, defining success metrics, or structuring user stories.
• Familiarity with AI coding assistants.
