Sr Project Manager - Execution (BESS)

Location: Hybrid, 2–3 days in office; Alpharetta, Georgia or Houston, Texas, United States. Travel approximately 15% for project site visits, client meetings, and team meetings.

What you will do

• Lead planning and execution of large-scale Battery Energy Storage System projects, including scope, schedules, budgets, and resources.
• Monitor master schedules and project performance, resolve schedule, cost, and execution risks, and maintain visibility of deliverables and action items.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, procurement, logistics, construction, and commissioning.
• Serve as the primary contact for clients, stakeholders, contractors, suppliers, and internal project resources.
• Manage escalations, issue and claims resolution, project documentation, reporting, and compliance.

Requirements

• BS/BA degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of experience managing large-scale industrial, power, energy, renewable energy, or BESS projects.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
• Experience managing projects with contract values of approximately $100M+.
• Strong leadership, collaboration, influencing, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated success in client-facing project leadership, strong business acumen, and commercial awareness.
• Ability to work effectively within a matrixed and global organization.
• Familiarity with project management tools, methodologies, and project controls processes; Primavera P6 experience is highly desirable.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States at application and throughout employment without employer sponsorship.

• Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) experience and knowledge.
• EPC project experience.
• Power plant or substation project experience.
• PMP certification.
• Lean or Six Sigma certification.
