Senior Project Manager (IT)

Location: On-site at the North Las Vegas, Losee Road facility, North Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. Work schedule: 4/10s, Monday through Thursday, subject to change.

Annual salary: $100,755.20–$151,132.80.

What you will do

• Lead and support five or more small IT projects with total project costs below $5M through initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and controlling, and close-out.
• Manage project scope, schedule, cost, risk, quality, deliverables, and stakeholder satisfaction.
• Prepare project status reports, special briefings, project charters, and communication plans for executive sponsors and key stakeholders.
• Coordinate work among project teams, peers, project leaders, supervisors, and cross-functional Integrated Project Teams of fewer than 10 people.
• Mentor less experienced project management staff and provide technical and administrative project support.
• Maintain rigorous environment, safety, health, and quality standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent training and experience, plus at least 5 years of related professional experience.
• Experience managing small IT projects below $5M and project teams of fewer than 10 people through representative project lifecycle phases.
• Experience defining, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing project scope while meeting schedule, cost, risk, and quality constraints.
• Experience managing stakeholder communications, differing stakeholder needs, project requirements, deliverables, scope, schedule, and cost objectives.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, including evaluating alternatives and using systematic, multi-step approaches.
• Collaboration and conflict-resolution skills, including facilitating Integrated Project Teams, building cross-functional relationships, establishing trust, and leading teams of fewer than 10 people.
• Effective decision-making skills, including risk analysis and knowing when to escalate issues.
• Proficiency with SharePoint, Microsoft Project Desktop and/or Microsoft Project Online, and Power BI is helpful.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and complete a pre-placement physical examination and drug screen.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance and be a U.S. citizen. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and pass required background, drug, counterintelligence, and reinvestigation processes.

• Project management certification such as PMP or CSM.
