Front End Engineer (React)

Location: Remote in Canada; the posting also lists the United States as an available location.

Salary: CAD 218,420–273,360 base salary, plus equity and comprehensive benefits.

What you will do

• Own the technical direction and architecture of the next-generation web console, including application structure, routing, state boundaries, shared abstractions, and maintainability.
• Design and operate cross-origin authentication and session infrastructure, including auth flows, CORS, CSRF, cookies, storage, and multiple deployment environments.
• Build frontend serving infrastructure and shared conventions that unify multiple hirify.global products under one console and development workflow.
• Create tooling, abstractions, and guardrails that enable non-frontend engineers to build accessible, production-quality interfaces.
• Partner with Product Design, Growth, Product, infrastructure, and engineering tooling teams on user experiences, experimentation, release workflows, and operational reliability.
• Improve frontend testing, developer workflows, technical reviews, mentoring, and platform standards; participate in the on-call rotation every specified interval.

Requirements

• Deep experience building and operating production React applications at scale.
• Strong understanding of HTTP semantics, browser security boundaries, authentication flows, cookies, storage, CORS, and CSRF.
• Experience building internal platforms, frameworks, or shared libraries that let other teams ship safely with strong guardrails.
• Experience driving a unified console or platform vision across disparate frontend codebases.
• Strong judgment in frontend architecture, including when to standardize, abstract, and preserve system understandability.
• Experience designing scalable frontend testing strategies that improve confidence while hiding incidental complexity from product engineers.
• Comfort collaborating across design, growth, infrastructure, and developer tooling.
• Strong written and verbal communication, including explaining tradeoffs and influencing technical direction.
• High ownership and autonomy, with the ability to identify important problems and drive them through ambiguity.

Nice to have

• Experience designing frontend codebases and tooling optimized for AI-assisted development.
• Experience with design systems, component libraries, and connecting design tooling to production UI workflows.
• Experience with feature flagging, analytics, experimentation systems, and progressive delivery.
• Experience with identity, admin, B2B SaaS, or security-sensitive product surfaces.
