Web Developer

Location: Remote in Canada; listed locations include Toronto, Calgary, Montreal, Ottawa, and Vancouver.

Compensation: CA$180K–CA$250K plus equity.

What you will do

• Build and iterate on growth-focused UI, landing experiences, styling, layouts, and content-driven pages for cohere.com.
• Develop and maintain CMS systems and Sanity schemas to make publishing faster and clearer for content editors.
• Ship experiments and marketing features that help users discover and try Cohere.
• Build with Next.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind while improving relevant performance and reliability.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, marketing partners, and leadership.
• Use AI coding tools daily while debugging, explaining, and taking ownership of merged code.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience shipping production React/TypeScript applications.
• Strong attention to UI polish and performance.
• Comfort with Next.js and a headless CMS such as Sanity, or the ability to ramp up quickly.
• Ability to partner effectively with design and marketing teams.
• Interest in trying new tools when they provide value and avoiding unnecessary technology choices.
• Focus on user outcomes rather than short-lived framework trends.

Nice to have

• Strong eye for design or motion.
• Portfolio, GitHub profile, or shipped marketing work.
• Familiarity with monorepos such as pnpm or Turborepo.
• Familiarity with Vercel.
