Lead Frontend Engineer (React)

Location: Remote; must be based in North America

Salary: $150,000–$170,000 per year

What you will do

• Set frontend architecture standards, development patterns, and code review expectations across the web app, Chrome extension, Outlook add-in, and React Native mobile app.
• Manage the frontend team through 1:1s, goal setting, feedback, hiring, mentoring, and performance development.
• Own release processes across web, extensions, and mobile, including off-cycle deployments and marketplace or app store submissions.
• Lead hands-on implementation of complex cross-cutting features in partnership with product and design, focusing on interaction quality and performance.
• Coordinate with Backend, Infrastructure, QA, and AI technical leads, while collaborating with the Head of Product and design partners.
• Read API contracts fluently and debug end-to-end without writing backend code.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience building production web applications as a senior frontend engineer.
• Experience shipping across at least two of the following: web applications, browser extensions, email or productivity add-ins, and mobile applications.
• Direct people-management experience, including 1:1s, performance management, hiring, and employee growth; formal management experience is required.
• Ability to implement designs faithfully, challenge unsuitable interactions, and deliver polished user experiences.
• Ability to read API contracts fluently and debug end-to-end across the stack.
• Experience with TypeScript, React, React Native, and Vite.
• Experience with Tailwind CSS, Radix UI, and Headless UI.

Nice to have

• Experience building or scaling React Native applications from early stages.
• Background in fintech, private equity, or financial services technology.
• Experience improving frontend performance, build times, or developer experience at scale.
