Senior Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada; other location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States. Hybrid schedule: work from the office 4 days per week, with flexibility to work remotely 1 day per week.

Base salary: USD 90,000–180,000 per year, plus potential variable compensation and benefits.

What you will do

• Design, build, enhance, test, and support scalable data products and reporting solutions.
• Help investment and business professionals discover, understand, and use trusted enterprise data.
• Design and use semantic models and prepare trusted, well-governed data for AI-enabled experiences.
• Translate complex business and technical requirements into reliable, intuitive solutions.
• Contribute to architecture and design decisions, provide hands-on technical leadership, and mentor engineers.
• Promote engineering practices that improve quality, security, performance, maintainability, and production support.

Requirements

• Demonstrated proficiency in Java and Python, including designing, developing, testing, and supporting production applications and services.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI, plus understanding of reporting, visualization, and data-consumption patterns.
• Ability to translate business and technical requirements into secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
• Ability to contribute to architecture and design decisions.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with data models, APIs, data pipelines, relational databases, and enterprise data platforms.
• Experience with automated testing, code reviews, source control, continuous integration and delivery, observability, and production support.
