What you will do

• Build, test, and maintain data pipelines and data models using orchestration and transformation tools across source systems, warehouses, and analytics platforms.
• Support ETL/ELT processes and troubleshoot data quality issues to keep data accurate, timely, and reliable.
• Collaborate with data engineers and product owners on data governance, testable code, error handling, rerunnable jobs, monitoring, and observability.
• Document data pipelines, schemas, and processes for team knowledge-sharing.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and use Git for all code changes.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in data engineering or a related technical role.
• Strong SQL skills, including joins, aggregations, CTEs, and window functions.
• Experience with Python for data engineering, scripting, or automation.
• Hands-on experience with at least one cloud data platform, such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or Redshift.
• Understanding of data modeling concepts, including fact tables, dimension tables, and schema design.
• Experience using Git or similar source-control tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to data accuracy and detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Exposure to law firm application databases such as Aderant Expert, Foundation, or iManage.
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT tools such as dbt, Airflow, or similar transformation and orchestration frameworks.
• Familiarity with AI/LLM technologies applied to data engineering.
