Senior Manager, Manufacturing Test Engineering (Power Electronics)

What you will do

• Lead a multidisciplinary Manufacturing Test organization supporting software developers, test engineers, designers, and technicians.
• Set manufacturing test strategies, technical roadmaps, staffing plans, budgets, capital investments, and supplier management practices.
• Develop and deploy PCBA Functional Test, End-of-Line, HiPot/Safety, and Run-In/Burn-In systems across internal and contract manufacturing sites.
• Lead test software, automation, data pipelines, dashboards, and analytics platforms integrated with MES, databases, traceability systems, and manufacturing infrastructure.
• Support factory launches, production ramp-ups, test-system transfers, Design-for-Test initiatives, and manufacturing test readiness for new products.
• Partner with Product Engineering, Firmware, Manufacturing, Quality, Reliability, Operations, and Supply Chain teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing test, automation, software development, or electronics manufacturing, including 5+ years of engineering leadership experience.
• Experience with automated test equipment, production software, and high-volume manufacturing environments.
• Ability to lead manufacturing test strategy for power electronics, energy storage, controls, and clean-energy products.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing departmental budgets, capital investments, contractors, and external suppliers.
• Ability to support internal factories and contract manufacturers globally.
• Ability to regularly stand and walk, manipulate objects or controls, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

Nice to have

• Experience with energy storage, power electronics, inverters, or embedded systems.
• Experience with Golang, Python, C#, LabVIEW, Linux, SQL databases, and industrial communication protocols.
• Experience with SIL/HIL systems, automated test equipment, and production analytics platforms.
• Experience supporting NPI and contract manufacturing operations.
• Familiarity with CAN, Ethernet, RS-232, RS-485, and other embedded communication protocols.
