Financial Reporting Analyst (Alternatives)

Location: Boston, United States of America

Salary: $70,000–$100,000 annual base salary, plus annual target bonus.

What you will do

• Draft annual and quarterly financial statements for private equity and hedge funds and maintain delivery calendars.
• Work with the Fund Reporting Manager to prepare reporting procedures.
• Monitor applicable laws, regulations, interpretations, and regulatory changes affecting fund financial statements and disclosures.
• Coordinate timetables and workflow with the Financial Reporting Team Leader and relevant BBH departments.
• Evaluate and recommend enhancements to the STAR accounting system and Unity financial reporting system for reporting and compliance automation.
• Complete special projects and assist with reviewing junior staff work.

Requirements

• BS/BA degree in a business-related concentration or equivalent discipline and/or equivalent work experience.
• 3–5 years of alternative and/or mutual fund industry experience, including 1–2 years of financial reporting and/or alternative investment experience.
• Knowledge of the Investment Company Act of 1940, Internal Revenue Code, US GAAP, IFRS, and other applicable financial reporting requirements.
• Strong Excel skills and strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and accurate, with proven problem-solving and solution-recommendation abilities.
• Ability to monitor and complete multiple projects simultaneously and work in a client-driven, deadline-oriented environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
