Financial Analyst (Category Management)

Location: US - Remote

Salary: $110K–$130K annually for US-based candidates; candidates outside the US receive a location-specific estimate from the recruiter. Equity may be included.

What you will do

• Own revenue, contribution margin, category P&L, and financial forecasts across multiple business lines.
• Advise category directors with financial analysis, insights, and short- and long-term business outlooks.
• Build customer lifetime value and unit economics models and guide leadership decision-making.
• Develop frameworks for evaluating and prioritizing initiatives, pricing decisions, and business cases.
• Define KPIs, create scorecards, and build and automate reporting.
• Prepare budgets, ad-hoc analyses, presentations, and materials for executive management and the Board of Directors; use AI tools to improve processes.

Requirements

• B.S. in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in analytical financial roles such as strategic finance, investment banking, and/or consulting.
• Ability to manipulate large datasets.
• Strategic thinking, intellectual curiosity, strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
• Ambitious, self-starting approach and ability to work in an changing environment.

Nice to have

• CFA or CPA.
• Experience in a technology or consumer investment banking group or at a high-growth startup/company.
• Experience with online subscription businesses, acquisition marketing metrics, and customer lifetime value concepts.
• Prior SQL or Looker experience.
