Senior Software Engineer (Java/JavaScript)

Location: Hybrid positions in Seattle, WA, United States, or Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.

Salary: $150,000–$170,000 per year, plus a 5% variable annual bonus and potential RSU grant.

What you will do

• Deliver product features using Claude Code, Codex, Copilot, and other agentic coding tools.
• Write specifications and prompts, decompose work into agent-sized tasks, and guide agents toward high-quality results.
• Review, test, debug, and secure agent-generated code; design and automate tests for new features.
• Design and build real-time data processes and distributed systems at scale.
• Resolve partnership-platform challenges and complex engineering issues involving scale and performance.
• Collaborate with Product and engineering teams, improve agent workflows, participate in agile processes, and join the production on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 4+ years of programming experience using open-source technologies.
• Strong engineering fundamentals, including the ability to read, write, and debug code independently and assess agent-generated code.
• Hands-on experience with or genuine enthusiasm for AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex, or GitHub Copilot.
• Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to express intent precisely.
• Problem-solving ability and capacity to work independently and collaboratively.
• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience with Java or JavaScript, Spring Framework, SQL, Git, Gradle or Maven, development environments such as IntelliJ, Eclipse, or VSCode, MacOS or Linux, and cloud computing.

Nice to have

• Experience writing agent instructions, custom skills, or MCP integrations.
• Affiliate & Partnerships Industry Fundamentals Certification by PXA.
