Artist Services Finance Director (Music)

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and empower a finance team of two while partnering with WMX business and commercial leaders.
• Own the monthly close process, P&L forecasts, cash-flow models, annual budgets, financial reporting, and performance commentary across WMX entities.
• Oversee merchandise accounting, artist statements, recoupable costs, data integrity, reconciliations, and financial investigations.
• Lead technical accounting policy implementation, VAT submissions, and cross-border tax compliance for UK/EU live events and pop-up stores.
• Provide financial modeling and analysis for new ventures, artist deals, commercial strategy, and executive decision-making.
• Drive finance transformation, system testing, process optimization, and SOX-compliant internal controls.

Requirements

• ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification with 10+ years of progressive finance experience.
• Experience leading, coaching, and developing finance professionals.
• Deep technical accounting knowledge and hands-on internal or external audit experience.
• Extensive experience building budgets, forecasts, and cash-flow plans.
• Strong analytical and commercial problem-solving skills, with the ability to work accurately under tight deadlines in dynamic, creative industries.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills with a strong focus on data accuracy.
• Proactive, collaborative, flexible, and decisive approach to ownership and delivery.

Nice to have

• Hands-on SAP experience, such as SAP S/4HANA.
• Experience managing external audits from inception through sign-off.
• Experience with large-scale finance transformations, system rollouts, or operational process re-engineering.
