DevOps Automation (Platform) Engineer

What you will do

• Design, maintain, and improve CI/CD platforms and supporting infrastructure across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Design and operate Kubernetes-based container platforms, including Azure and Rancher/RKE2 environments.
• Develop reusable CI/CD pipelines, templates, automation scripts, and deployment solutions.
• Package and deploy applications with Helm charts and Kubernetes-native mechanisms while ensuring repeatable and reliable delivery.
• Administer CI/CD platform components, application servers, and build agents; provide technical guidance and training to development teams.
• Collect, analyse, and report platform metrics such as cycle time, time-to-value, uptime, error rates, and platform usage.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of relevant IT experience, including at least 3 years administering Azure DevOps Server and at least 2 years deploying applications on Kubernetes environments.
• Bachelor's degree or minimum education level 6 qualification.
• At least one internationally recognised certification: CKAD, CKA, or equivalent.
• Expert knowledge of Azure DevOps Server and Azure DevOps Services administration.
• Excellent knowledge of CI/CD pipeline design, configuration, and automation practices.
• Strong knowledge of DevOps principles, automation, continuous integration, continuous delivery, feedback loops, and fail-fast methodologies.
• Excellent knowledge of application containerisation, packaging, and deployment on Kubernetes clusters, including Helm charts, operators, and deployment pipelines.
• Good knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools and methodologies, such as Terraform or Puppet.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
• Strong English communication skills are required.

• Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400).
