Senior DevOps Engineer (Azure)

Location: Remote within the United Kingdom

What you will do

• Support application infrastructure and optimize platforms for performance and reliability.
• Build and maintain infrastructure for Azure and other cloud environments and applications.
• Use Azure resources to implement scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient services.
• Guide critical projects, collaborate with engineers across disciplines, and solve complex infrastructure problems.
• Automate system administration, including installation, configuration, maintenance, auditing, security, compliance, and disaster recovery.
• Monitor deployments, resolve OS and virtual hardware bottlenecks, and establish business-focused operational excellence KPIs.

Requirements

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills across multiple disciplines.
• A solid foundation in IT or software engineering.
• Experience creating CI/CD pipelines and automating SaaS solutions in Azure.
• Strong automation skills with scripting languages, Terraform, ARM, or similar tools.
• Experience building and optimizing cloud-based networks, including VNets and Application Gateways.
• Experience integrating third-party tools such as SonarCloud.
• Ability to build environments from the ground up, including Windows, Linux, SQL, Redis, and WebApps.
• Experience with containerization.

Nice to have

• Kubernetes or other orchestration tools.
• Azure API Management or similar technologies.
• New Relic scripted monitors.
• Security tools and best practices, including Check Point.
• Hadoop, Kafka, Presto, or similar business intelligence and big data technologies.
