Field Scientist (MSAT/Filtration)

Location: Remote from Spain, preferably Madrid; listed locations include Barcelona and Madrid. Travel to customer sites across Europe up to 50% of the time.

What you will do

• Apply normal flow filtration and tangential flow filtration products to create innovative bioprocess solutions.
• Conduct feasibility assessments, technical consultations, customer training, and bench-scale trials.
• Support customers throughout projects and collaborate with commercial and R&D teams to ensure successful implementation.
• Provide consultation on scale-up and scale-down studies, testing plans, data analysis, process sizing, compatibility recommendations, troubleshooting, and field investigations.
• Travel to customer sites for technical meetings, test work, presentations, and project reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Biological Engineering, or a related scientific or engineering field.
• At least 3 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, including MSAT, Process Development, Manufacturing, or a related technical function.
• Experience providing technical support and working directly with customers.
• Fluent Spanish, written and spoken.
• Business-level English, written and spoken.
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time across Europe, with a particular focus on Spanish-speaking territories and other key European markets.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of the regulatory framework for drug manufacturing and biopharmaceutical production.
• Knowledge of purification and filtration techniques used in bioprocessing and drug manufacturing.
• Proficiency in an additional European language, such as German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, or another European language.
