Engineering Co-op (Energy Efficiency)

Location: Remote within Canada; must be based in Ontario

Salary: $23.00 CAD per hour

hirify.global is a consulting firm that designs and implements energy-efficiency programs for communities and organizations.

What you will do

• Calculate energy savings for energy-efficient projects.
• Review projects submitted to local energy-efficiency lighting programs.
• Support the development of company-wide engineering best practices.
• Develop engineering tools using MS Excel and other software.
• Prepare draft measurement verification plans and billing analysis reports.
• Update databases and calculators and ensure projects reflect applicable federal and state energy codes.

Requirements

• Actively enrolled in post-secondary Engineering education and have completed at least two years; Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental, or Energy Engineering is preferred.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Availability for 40 hours per week from January 11, 2027, through April 30, 2027.
• Interest and ambition to work in the energy-efficiency industry.
• Familiarity with MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, and detailed calculation work.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Must be authorized to work in Canada without employer sponsorship or immigration support.
• Successful hires must pass pre-employment checks.
