Specialist – Technical Project Integration (Renewable Energy)

Location: Hybrid role based at the company headquarters in Longueuil, Quebec, Canada; offices are accessible by public transportation. The position is based in Longueuil and requires regular collaboration with stakeholders outside Quebec.

What you will do

• Provide constructability technical leadership and integration oversight across development, engineering, construction, energization, commissioning, and operational handover.
• Review civil, structural, electrical, SCADA, protection and control, substation, collection system, and turbine designs, coordinating reviews with field construction subject-matter experts.
• Support technical management of TSA, BOPA, EPC, major equipment, and long-term service agreements, including technical schedules, performance requirements, acceptance criteria, and contractual risks.
• Develop energization and commissioning strategies, coordinate utility interconnection activities, and oversee contractor and consultant commissioning plans.
• Lead readiness assessments for First Energization and First Feeder Energization, and support assessments for Substantial Completion and Commercial Operation Date.
• Support technical issue resolution, quality and QA/QC monitoring, project handovers, technical dashboards, executive reporting, and continuous improvement of project delivery governance.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in renewable energy development, engineering, construction, commissioning, or operations.
• Bachelor’s degree or Electrical Power Technologist qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience with utility-scale wind, solar, and BESS projects.
• Direct experience with high-voltage systems, utility interconnections, protection and controls, SCADA systems, energization, and commissioning.
• Experience reviewing major construction and equipment contracts.
• Experience managing interfaces between contractors, OEMs, consultants, and utilities.
• Service-oriented approach and commitment to working in a multidisciplinary team environment; ability to work independently, self-start, and remain energetic.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, especially Microsoft Project, Visio, and Excel.
• Written and spoken French and English bilingualism is required for regular collaboration with stakeholders outside Quebec.

• Knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of Global Mapper.
