Head of Product (AI)

Location: Based in Canada; remote work permitted with occasional travel for team and leadership meetings. Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

Base salary: CAD 240,000–270,000 annually, plus bonus and long-term incentives where applicable.

What you will do

• Own the product vision, strategy, roadmap, product organization, and measurable customer and business outcomes for Invoice Simple.
• Expand the invoicing product into payments, bookkeeping, financial management, and automation for one-person and microbusinesses.
• Lead AI-powered workflows that create invoices, follow up on payments, organize expenses, and identify opportunities while maintaining quality, transparency, safeguards, and customer trust.
• Build faster, AI-native product teams where PMs prototype, analyze, experiment, and ship working experiences.
• Improve acquisition, activation, paid conversion, retention, and revenue across mobile and web in partnership with the GM and functional leaders.
• Hire, coach, and develop product managers while collaborating with Engineering, Design, Data, Marketing, Payments, and Customer Experience.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in product management or development, including 5+ years leading product managers and owning a meaningful product portfolio.
• Recent hands-on use of AI-assisted prototyping or coding tools and readiness to demonstrate something personally built.
• Track record of shipping consumer, SMB, or self-serve SaaS products at scale with measurable gains in activation, conversion, retention, or revenue.
• Strong mobile product judgment, including iOS or Android UX, subscriptions, app-store distribution, and experimentation.
• Ability to hire and coach PMs, make difficult trade-offs, and consistently deliver with Engineering and Design.
• Personal characteristics include technical fluency, high standards for simplicity and product quality, comfort with imperfect information, high ownership, and effective cross-functional collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience building and scaling complex, trusted products in payments, fintech, accounting, or financial services is strongly preferred.
