Equity Middle Office, Senior Associate (Equities)

Location: New York, New York, United States

Base pay: $120,000–$150,000 per year, plus potential performance bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Manage the full trade lifecycle, including bookings, allocations, daily reconciliations, T-0 matching, settlement, and clearing.
• Support trading desks across a broad range of asset classes, including equities, equity derivatives, and FX.
• Manage derivative lifecycle events, corporate actions, non-trade activity, and P&L inquiries.
• Work with Trading, Portfolio Managers, Fund Accounting, Technology, and Risk teams to ensure accurate trade processing.
• Coordinate multi-functional initiatives and contribute to scalable trade support solutions and platform enhancements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Operations experience in a Middle Office or Trading Assistant capacity; buy-side experience is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of equities, equity derivatives, and FX.
• Strong understanding of non-trade activity, derivative lifecycle events, and corporate actions.
• Expert knowledge of the trade lifecycle from trade capture through settlement and reconciliation.
• Hands-on experience with EMS, PMS, T-0 matching platforms, and messaging protocols such as FIX.
• Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.
• Experience driving and coordinating large-scale and tactical multi-functional initiatives.
• Strong accountability, ownership, prioritization, adaptability, attention to detail, interpersonal skills, and written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work effectively with people as part of a global team in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with SPACs, PIPEs, and Transfer Agents.
• Hands-on experience with Separately Managed Accounts or External Investment Advisors.
• Experience with Python or SQL.
• Experience using AI tools to improve workflows or performance.
