Data & AI Governance Operations Analyst

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands; hybrid working with flexible arrangements and up to 20 days per year working from abroad in the home country. This role does not come with relocation assistance.

What you will do

• Contribute to the definition, review, update, and rollout of the Data & AI Governance framework, standards, and guidelines.
• Plan and manage low- to medium-complexity projects end to end, and support high-complexity projects from scoping through implementation and handover.
• Define project goals, KPIs, roadmaps, deliverables, governance structures, success metrics, and reporting.
• Coordinate business units, centralized functions, Risk and Compliance, Legal, external vendors, and other stakeholders up to Director level.
• Track risks, dependencies, milestones, decisions, and mitigation activities to support successful delivery.
• Lead workshops and support alignment between data governance, data privacy, information security, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in Data Governance, or alternatively 2+ years of experience in Data Analysis, Business Analysis, or another analytical background.
• 2–3 years of relevant project management experience.
• Experience applying structured project or change management methodologies and managing project planning, execution, completion, and handover.
• Ability to support data ownership and stewardship structures, data steward onboarding, and the application of Data & AI Governance principles, processes, and standards.
• Knowledge of data cataloging, profiling, metadata management, data classification, data lineage, and governance workflows.
• Ability to support compliance with GDPR, DMA, SOx, and the EU AI Act and align governance with Data Privacy and IT Information Security requirements.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision, facilitate workshops, manage stakeholders, and communicate with business and technical teams.
• Knowledge of Atlassian Jira and Confluence.
