Manager Site Reliability Engineering (Linux)

Base salary for US-based candidates: $151,800–$273,200/year; compensation outside the US varies.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop technical leads and Linux platform engineers.
• Set technical direction and priorities across platform evolution, reliability, security, and operations.
• Drive engineering projects from requirements and design through implementation, validation, and deployment.
• Partner with hardware, product, operations, and engineering teams to deliver reliable, scalable Compute platforms.
• Improve observability, automation, and operational practices to reduce service disruptions and accelerate incident resolution.
• Lead investigations of complex service-impacting issues and support incident response and on-call operations.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing engineering teams.
• Extensive experience with Linux internals, operating systems, and systems administration.
• Understanding of computer architecture, server hardware, and hardware–operating-system interaction.
• Experience improving the reliability, performance, security, and maintainability of production systems at scale.
• Effective communication and cross-team collaboration to drive technical decisions and deliver results.
