Site Reliability Engineer (AI/Python)

Location: Remote Kentucky, United States; occasional travel to hirify.global offices may be required for training or meetings.

Salary: $80,900–$110,300 per year in base pay, plus eligibility for a bonus incentive plan.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, deploy, monitor, and support internal products and automations that reduce operational effort and improve support productivity.
• Build AI-enabled capabilities for troubleshooting, summarization, knowledge retrieval, work-note generation, and operational decision support.
• Develop and maintain applications and services using Python, Angular, SQL, Databricks, SSIS, and related enterprise technologies.
• Integrate solutions with enterprise AI gateways and approved model platforms for secure, scalable AI capabilities.
• Evaluate and tune models, translate operational needs into product features, and collaborate with engineers, architects, leads, and stakeholders in an Agile environment.
• Contribute to coding standards, testing, documentation, security, compliance, software development standards, and production readiness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience in software development, automation engineering, application support engineering, site reliability engineering, or a related technical role.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience developing applications and automation solutions using Python and SQL.
• Experience building, enhancing, and supporting web applications, APIs, automation tools, or enterprise software solutions.
• 1+ years of experience with Angular or similar front-end frameworks such as React or Vue.
• Experience with data engineering, ETL, or integration technologies, including Databricks, SSIS, or comparable platforms.
• Working knowledge of the SDLC, including requirements gathering, testing, deployment, version control, and production support.
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues in production or operational environments with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work effectively in Agile teams, collaborate with technical and business stakeholders, and translate technical concepts into practical business outcomes.

Nice to have

• Experience building AI-enabled or ML-enabled applications in an enterprise environment.
• Exposure to model evaluation, prompt tuning, retrieval-based patterns, or model selection based on cost, performance, and use case.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, data pipelines, observability, and automation frameworks.
