Commissioning Manager (Data Center)

Location: Zaragoza, Spain; on-site. The requirements also state that candidates should currently live or be looking to move to Farciennes and must already have the legal right to work.

What you will do

• Act as the client’s representative and provide independent oversight of commissioning activities for a hyperscale data centre project.
• Develop and implement the commissioning strategy, plans, procedures, scripts, and schedules.
• Lead the end-to-end commissioning process, including scope, schedule, quality assurance, testing, validation, and handover.
• Coordinate design, construction, commissioning teams, stakeholders, client-appointed teams, and third-party vendors.
• Conduct site inspections, monitor progress, resolve issues, and report on milestones, budgets, and interdependencies.
• Ensure compliance with client standards, safety protocols, and industry best practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing commissioning on large-scale data centre projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including UPS, switchgear, generators, cooling systems, and critical infrastructure.
• Ability to develop and execute detailed commissioning scripts and schedules.
• Degree in engineering, construction management, or equivalent experience.
• Currently living in or looking to move to Farciennes, with the legal right to work already in place.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Collaborative approach and ability to build lasting relationships.
