Production Lead (Retail)

Location: Hybrid in Nottingham, England, United Kingdom, with up to 40% of working time from home. This is a 6-month maternity cover contract, with the possibility of extension to 12 months. Working hours are 9:00am–5:30pm, Monday to Friday.

What you will do

• Convert Boots raw offer data into accurate, production-ready briefs for agencies and printers using ITG’s briefing platform, automated processes, and new tools.
• Quality-control briefs generated from SAP PMR offer data, log issues, add missing information, and process completed briefs through Flo with all required assets.
• Track briefs from initial briefing through content creation, approval, and print while keeping jobs on schedule.
• Coordinate with category teams, ISM, Opticians, BMG, agencies, printers, and the wider production team.
• Use existing artwork templates and ensure content follows Boots brand and category guidelines before printing.
• Escalate recurring data-quality and briefing issues, support process improvements, and manage increased volumes during peak trading periods.

Requirements

• Experience in a production, artwork, or coordination role, ideally in retail, FMCG, or an agency environment.
• Ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Enthusiasm for new tools and process automation, including AI, and interest in improving ways of working.
• High attention to detail when checking automated outputs and completing missing information.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple live briefs across different categories.
• Friendly, proactive communication skills with category stakeholders, agencies, and printers.
• Supportive team approach and pride in work that keeps the wider team running smoothly.
• Calmness under pressure during peak trading periods, high briefing volumes, and tight deadlines.
