Head of Quality (Engineering Consultancy)

Location: Hybrid in Birmingham, United Kingdom, with travel as required to support UK business units, projects and sites.

What you will do

• Lead the implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System across the UK business.
• Plan and conduct internal audits, coordinate external audits, and ensure corrective actions are managed and closed.
• Promote quality awareness through QMS training, inductions and guidance on company procedures and standards.
• Advise management and employees on quality and compliance while leading and developing the Quality and Document Control teams.
• Partner with UK business leaders to deliver quality, operational and business improvement initiatives.
• Embed quality into project planning and initiation, analyse customer feedback and lessons learned, develop local procedures, and report quality metrics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification, preferably in Engineering, Architecture or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in a Quality Management role, ideally within engineering consultancy, EPCM or multidisciplinary project delivery.
• Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems, auditing, compliance and continuous improvement principles.
• Experience leading quality initiatives and driving improvements across teams, business functions and project environments.
• Proven leadership and people management skills, including the ability to develop and motivate teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills, with confidence engaging and influencing at all levels.
• Ability to communicate effectively in multicultural, international and multidisciplinary environments.
• Strategic thinking, problem-solving, proactive decision-making, organisation, accuracy and attention to detail.
• Confident use of digital tools and platforms, including Microsoft Office and SharePoint; flexibility to travel as required across UK business units, projects and sites.
