Commercial Trading Lead

Location: Nuneaton, United Kingdom; hybrid working with a minimum of two days per week in the office.

What you will do

• Represent Category and retail trading requirements in pricing and promotions programme decisions.
• Coordinate commercial input into trials covering promotion simplification, promotional mechanics, discount stacking, price matching and key value item pricing.
• Work with Category, Trade Planning, Retail Operations and Marketing to secure decisions, inputs and execution readiness.
• Lead the trading input into product price matching and help expand match coverage as data develops.
• Balance customer needs, supplier economics, margin and operational considerations in commercial recommendations.
• Build pricing and promotions governance, decision guardrails and practical day-to-day trading rules.

Requirements

• Experience in commercial trading or Category Management within a multi-category retail environment.
• Understanding of pricing, promotions, margin, supplier economics and store execution.
• Commercial judgement to balance customer value, contribution and operational practicality.
• Confidence working cross-functionally, influencing stakeholders and constructively challenging decisions.
• Ability to turn data and evidence into practical trading recommendations.

Nice to have

• Experience with structured trials, pricing strategy or commercial governance.
