Senior Technical Writer (AI)

What you will do

• Own the documentation strategy for at least one product area by tracking releases, identifying documentation gaps, planning work, and aligning documentation with product strategy.
• Use user behavior, field feedback, and adoption data to prioritize documentation improvements.
• Write and edit how-to guides, reference documentation, landing pages, and overview content.
• Test documentation by running software, using APIs and command-line tools, and collaborating with technical experts.
• Maintain published documentation, including updates, revisions, deprecations, technical reviews, and guideline compliance.
• Improve documentation workflows, document management, Git-based version control, and the documentation platform, including Vale rules and auto-generated documentation.

Requirements

• Experience working alongside other technical writers on a documentation team, including giving and receiving reviews.
• Experience as a technical writer at a software company or startup.
• Experience working with AI and AI-native workflows, including building skills using MCP servers.
• Hands-on experience testing software, including APIs and command-line tools.
• Comfort with the command line and solid Git experience.
• Experience maintaining, managing, and reviewing documentation in a docs-as-code environment.
