Technical Content Engineer (AI)

Location: Paris, France; hybrid work with 3 days in the office per week.

What you will do

• Write and edit logically structured documentation for customers and AI agents, maintaining a consistent voice and alignment with the style guide.
• Design knowledge-base layouts and visual aids, optimizing content length, structure, chunking, retrieval, and citation.
• Develop AI-assisted content workflows for drafting, quality checks, audits, and scalable documentation operations.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to curate source content, refine instructions and evaluation prompts, review Documentation Agent answers, and address knowledge gaps.
• Manage Git-based docs-as-code workflows with Markdown, pull requests, and automated checks for links, structure, and style.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Professional Services to document releases, learn product functionality, create use cases, mentor peers, and improve documentation using analytics, answer accuracy, and retrieval-quality data.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in technical writing, content strategy, or documentation engineering, preferably in SaaS, EPM, or FinTech.
• Strong command of authoring, hosting, and collaboration tools including Document360, Jira, Confluence, Git, GitHub, Markdown, and VS Code.
• Hands-on experience with docs-as-code workflows using Git, pull requests, Markdown, and CI-based checks.
• Practical experience using LLMs in writing workflows, including prompting, critical review of generated output, and repeatable workflow design.
• Understanding of machine-readable and human-readable content, including consistent structure, self-contained sections, and clear metadata.
• Strong editorial judgment and the ability to verify AI-generated content for accuracy and produce content to the required quality standard.
• Ability to independently learn complex product functionality and translate it into concise instructions for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, a can-do approach to complex technical puzzles, experience using data to measure documentation effectiveness, and the ability to collaborate across time zones and departments.
• Professional fluency in English is required.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in French.
• Scripting ability in Python or JavaScript for automation.
• Familiarity with RAG concepts, llms.txt, or MCP.
• Experience evaluating or improving AI assistant or agent output.
• Experience with OpenAPI or generating reference documentation from source.
