Early Childhood Education Manager (Early Literacy)

Location: Remote, but candidates must reside in California, Nevada, Texas, or Arizona; periodic travel to the California Home Office and frequent travel to school campuses is required.

What you will do

• Serve as the principal early childhood literacy expert for the IK12 Education Team.
• Identify, update, review, develop, and pilot phonics-based literacy resources aligned with the Links to Learning curriculum.
• Communicate literacy resources across schools and deliver onboarding and continuing professional development to teachers and school leaders in person and online.
• Guide four IK12 ECE Leader Mentors and coordinate a cohort of 30 Links to Learning Instructional Mentor Teachers with regional directors and principals.
• Support the Academic Pre-K rollout for the 2026–27 school year, including phonics-based reading instruction and foundational mathematics.
• Facilitate an Academic Pre-K mentor-teacher cohort.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; Early Childhood Education, Literacy, Reading Specialist, or a related field is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in early literacy instruction, including phonics-based and developmentally appropriate approaches.
• Experience designing and delivering professional learning for adult educators in virtual and in-person formats.
• Strong communication and coaching skills across multiple school sites and regions.
• Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects across diverse school environments.
• Ability to analyze instructional needs and use data to inform resource and training development.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Willingness and availability to travel periodically to school sites and the California-based Home Office.

Nice to have

• Degree in Early Childhood Education, Literacy, Reading Specialist, or a related field.
• Kindergarten teaching or instructional leadership experience.
• Experience with curriculum frameworks or developing instructional resources.
