Senior Product Designer (AI)

Location: Remote; listed locations include Toronto, San Francisco, London, and New York. Offices are available in Toronto, London, New York City, San Francisco, Montreal, Paris, Berlin, and Seoul.

Base salary: USA—California, New York, and Washington: $140,000–$220,000; USA—other states: $125,000–$200,000; Canada: $180,000–$280,000.

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end design process for a product area, identifying opportunities to improve user experience and product impact.
• Design accessible, intuitive experiences that balance technical complexity with ease of use.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, ML specialists, and stakeholders throughout product development.
• Conduct user research, validate design decisions, and translate findings into design improvements.
• Maintain a high craft and quality bar while contributing to scalable design systems and patterns across the North platform.
• Partner with engineering to ensure faithful implementation and make pragmatic trade-offs.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience designing digital products and a strong portfolio demonstrating process, systems thinking, and measurable impact on user outcomes.
• Strong understanding of AI concepts and agentic systems, including model reasoning, tool use, and multi-step workflow orchestration.
• Ability to design interactions that make complex agentic behaviors understandable and controllable.
• Collaborative experience partnering with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong user-centered approach using research, data, and direct user engagement to guide design decisions.
• Proficiency in Figma and experience building scalable patterns and systems.
• Clear, proactive communication across distributed teams, geographies, and disciplines.
